I was in the same boat as the previous viewer. I was getting ready to have my car towed to the VW dealership when he showed my the part also. He was able to get in drive and I went from there to the dealership. From there, I even explained to the dealership what I needed, showed them the part needed, and they still came back with a $1500 quote. I said "it needs a little rubber piece that goes here." Their reply: "No sir - the whole cable has to be replaced - that piece is part of it." A video on YouTube took me right to this page. My Jetta wouldn't ship from park and the tow truck driver showed me the crumbling bushing. After the dealership wanted $1400 to replace the ENTIRE shift assembly, I knew there had to be a better way. Just what I needed to fix the bushing on my linkage cable. My vehicle was not shifting out of park and once I popped the hood, I notice the shift cable was off and had no bushing left. Saved me a lot of money from the dealership when they tried to tell me it would cost $1,100.00 usd. So glad I found this company!

Thank you for providing this easy to fix product. Originally I went to Volkswagen and they said that the cable alone would cost me $1000. I did some research and found you guys online and obviously was able to Fix my issue with a simple bushing for less than $40. The fix itself only took me about 30 minutes and I’m very thankful that you guys are providing this product.

The hardest part of this order was waiting for it to arrive. The old bushing discentgraded, and looking for a replacement was few, BushingFix was the only one that I could find, without going to the dealer. After moving the cable end and putting it in a vice with the bushing it slide right in. Installing it was simple, except trying to get the linkage reailgned on the transmission. Once that was accomplished down the road I go. Thanks to Bushingfix to saving me $$$$ from the dealer or repair shop.
