Perfect fit
Bushing is just the right size and installer works pretty decent. Definitely worth getting instead of getting the whole shift cable assembly.

Works as advertised.

Had to "upgrade" the installation tool
My application is a 2008 Pontiac G6 GT
I'll start with the pros: the bushing works - over 1 month of use now and no issues. This is a great savings of time and money over having a shop replace the entire shift cable.
My downside was using the installation tool. The 3.5L V6 in the G6 has a throttle body coolant line above the shift cable connection point on the transmission. I couldn't get a good grip to press the bushing into the cable end, in part because the tool wasn't engaging the bushing. The pin on the tool (being plastic) kept bending over as I tried to squeeze the bushing into place -- 'till I broke the pin off the tool. I remedied that by drilling into the tool and pushing in a nail with it's head clipped off. This made for a tool with a longer, sturdier pin. Using my modified tool, I got the bushing to pop in place first try. -
G6 Shift cable bushing kit
I found the design to be exceptional. A very positive installation as well.

Works as advertised
VERY happy with this busing and it works as advertised. The pin and backing allow the busing to be pushed into place very easily and it works well.
To install first put the car in Park and set the parking brake, remove the end of the linkage with the c-clip (the c-clip pulls up with a screwdriver - be careful of the spring in the connector) to get it out of the vehicle, press on the bushing, put the end of the linkage back in place and snap onto the shift bracket on the transmission, replace the c-clip last. It makes a difference (voice of experience) that you replace the c-clip after you snap the linkage back onto the shift cable. The spacing was wrong when I put the c-clip on first and then put it on the shift bracket on the transmission. It wouldn't fully engage Park and Reverse was just before the R on the shifter. I took the c-clip off, put the car back in Park, and then placed the c-clip and all was well. This creates a $30ish repair instead of a tow and the dealer's minimum shop charge. Once I had the part and understood the system, this is a 5 minute repair. -
Just what I needed
Perfect fit for my 2006 G6. I understand the 1-2 shipping being high but the price was a bit on the high side for me. On the other hand BushingFix is the only place you can get this part so the price makes sense. Still between cost and shipping I still paid less for this than a new shift cable and it was very easy to install.
