My thought at first was..yeah, right, but still took a chance and bought the bushing fix.
The first installation was a failure due to the fact I did not see (wasn't wearing my glasses) a part of the leftover old bushing still intact.
After removing the old debris re-installed and still holding as of today. Also bought several spares, just in case.
Hey! at 61 it only took about 10 minutes to complete the fix.

Why couldn't the OEM made the bushing from the correct material to start with but to have the gall not to offer a repair part smaller than the whole shift lever cable assy says a lot about apathy of the auto industry today. The kit is a great and simple solution THEY should have had to start with!!!

Hello all! I am new to the Jeep Liberty Scene and have had a few unpleasant introductions to this vehicle. I recently acquired a 2005 Liberty Limited 4x4 and after some local driving i decided to take it out and run it thru it's paces on some local dirt roads. After a few hours of exploring and testing the capabilites in the various Xfer case modes the cable linkage failed at the case while in 4lo. After waiting for the cat to cool i was able to slip the cable on and get into 2hi and the cable promptly fell off again. Once home, I did some searching and came across Bushingfix.com and there bushing repair kits. I was about to buy a OEM cable but decided give these guys a shot. Well a few days later i got a little package, and installed the bushing per their instructions in literally 2 mins. It works PERFECT! Thank you so much for this clever fix.
