TB1KIT™ kit allows you to quickly and easily repair your shift cable by replacing the bushing. The patented (US patent #10,619,723 and #10,215,273) coupling and custom molded replacement bushing ensure a quality repair with ease. A professional can perform this repair in under 2 minutes, average time for a non-professional is less than 5 minutes. This bushing is made from a material that was designed to outlast the factory bushing and includes everything needed to install. 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid shifter linkage bushing at shifter
I purchased a 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid knowing the shifter cable may need replacing. After looking into the problem it was the bushing at the shifter (remove center console). Ford sells new cable with bushings...not just the bushing. After some research, I found Bushingfix, gave them my problem w make/model. It does take some creative maneuvering but it got in there. Working fine!

customer services was outstanding send it prority mail got it within two days

Clever and does the job
I cannot believe that the dealer and manufacturers can come up with a reasonable repair, but Bushingfix seems to have done it. It was a little tricky getting the new insert through the eye, but I used a socket to become a through anvil and pushed the fitting down through the cable end, keeping everything straight and perpendicular to the eye. Then removing the red reducing tool the fitting become a part of the eye. Easy then to place over the stud and again keeping straight, push down snapping onto stud.

TB1 Kit, Transmission end, 2008 Dodge Avenger
After several attempts using the "installation tool",
I pushed the bushing into the hole without using the installation tool.
The red installation tool would not pass through through the hole in the cable end.
I then popped it onto the ball stud.
$20 for bushing, expensive but Working fine so far.
